Sergeants have been building garden sheds since 1982. Every shed is made in our own workshop in Portadown from quality imported kiln dried timber, then delivered and installed across all six counties.
We keep the range deliberately simple. Rather than a catalogue of hundreds of near identical sheds, we build three designs properly, in a wide spread of sizes, and we will build to your own measurements if none of the standard sizes suit.
Superior Shed, from £995
Our most popular garden shed and the one most customers end up with. It runs from a compact 6ft x 4ft right up to 20ft x 12ft, so the same shed works as a small tool store at the bottom of the garden or as a full sized workshop. The larger sizes come with double doors, which makes them a practical option if you need to get a ride-on mower in and out.
Chalet Shed, from £1,395
A traditional garden shed and storage building with a chalet styling, available in 8ft x 6ft, 8ft x 8ft and 8ft x 10ft. It suits gardens where the shed is in view of the house rather than tucked out of sight. Extra windows and a window box and liner are available as options.
Solar Shed, £1,995
Our take on the traditional potting shed, at 8ft x 6ft. It has a toughened glass half roof and four large opening side windows, so there is plenty of light for potting and growing, and a potting bench is available as an optional extra.
How our sheds are built
Every shed uses 19mm tongue and groove weatherboard, pressure treated floor joists, and exterior timber treated with an oil based preservative before it leaves us. Sheds come with Georgian style windows, black rust proof hinges and a padbolt as standard, on a heavy gauge mineral felt roof.
A shed in Northern Ireland has to cope with driving rain and a lot of damp days, which is why we build from kiln dried rather than green timber. That reduces the movement and warping you get once a shed is up and settling.
Colours and custom sizes
All our sheds come in Teak, Pine, Redwood or Clear, and other colours are available on request. If none of the standard sizes fit the space you have, ring us and we will quote for a shed built to your measurements.
Delivery and installation
We deliver to Co. Armagh, Co. Down, Co. Londonderry, Co. Antrim, Co. Tyrone and Co. Fermanagh, which covers Belfast, Lisburn, Newry, Armagh, Lurgan, Banbridge, Dungannon, Bangor, Newtownards and everywhere between. Installation in Northern Ireland is free, with terms and conditions applying.
